Welcome to the Homepage of Qualified Engineer Architect Frank Bräutigam!

After studying at the Hanover University of Technology, I acquired a broad range of professional experience in design and planning of a wide range of construction projects at a Hanoverian architectural office: Single- and multi-family houses, roof extensions, industrial and swimming pool construction as well as interior installations and competitions.

In 1988, I finally moved to Berlin, where I first worked as an employee at Gerkan, Marg and Partner in various projects, e.g. in office and hospital construction.

In 1997, I founded my own architectural office in Berlin.

Since then, I specialised in residential construction: planning of single and multi-family houses, construction and conversion work, redevelopment and top floor construction or -extension.

The most important thing to me is to make the right decisions with the client in the initial phase – in the design process of the project. Here, the course is set, as to whether the builder will be satisfied with his building or not. What is the integration of the building into the surrounding area? Does the floorplan have a quality with regard to the sun and shadows, north and south orientation? Which materials should be processed inside and outside, are there possibilities to save costs while keeping the design appealing? How does the client see his object in 20 years?

These are some of the crucial questions for me.
